3 Tips for Creating Dating Profiles

When looking for love online, creating an excellent profile is key. Of course, you will need photos that may you look your best, but those who are looking for real relationships go beyond a handsome face. A generic profile won’t say much as people are seeking to connect with personality.

Imagine your ideal partner, how will they recognize you as their perfect match and make you stand out from the rest?

Check out these three tips for creating dating profiles and attack the right people online.

Tip #1 Give a snapshot or your personality

– Your profile should start with a brief description of your positive traits and characteristics. Are you funny? Affectionate? Intellectual? Choose four adjectives to describe your personality.

Be sure to include what you care about. Don’t use your online dating profile as a job resume. You can mention you love your job, but don’t make it the unique feature about you. Got a favorite hobby? Is there a new language you’ve learned and wanted to test your skills? The right person will think that’s awesome.

Tip #2 Determine who you want to meet

– Be sure to say who you want to meet in your profile. This doesn’t mean you should get into specifics such as a “blonde hair, blue-eyed bombshell.” Instead, focus on the character and values. This will attract people who share the same intentions in common. Focusing on the characteristics will cause you to look superficial and overly picky – which are not attractive qualities.

Tip #3 Show, don’t talk

What we mean is, when you are writing about who you show the reader what that looks like in action. Many users often say the love to travel. Show pictures of your traveling and enjoying life. Talk about your favorite destinations and even your dream vacation.

When you focus on the positive traits rather than the negative, you will attract the right people. While you can’t avoid being contacts by some, you rather not date, enjoy the experience that may someday lead you to your partner.

How to Enjoy a Singles Event

Singles event are an excellent opportunity to meet someone new. The good news is that there are plenty of events to check out. In fact, most dating sites, charities, groups, and other social clubs are keen on hosting these kinds of gatherings for singles who are ready to mingle.

Here’s how to enjoy a singles event and even lead you to meet your significant other.

1. Go with a friend

While the event is dedicated to finding partners, that doesn’t mean you should arrive alone. Have a friend tag along can make the night more enjoyable. This may even help you to feel more confident and outgoing. A wingman will help you get a boost of self-assurance and build up the courage to strike up conversations.

2. Relax on the Alcohol

Alcohol seems to be the main ingredient including at singles events. In fact, many even offer an open bar to gain more attendees. While the bar may help keep the conversations going, don’t let it cause you to miss out on the night and end up becoming a sloppy drunk. Doing so will cause you to reduce your chances of meeting someone when you’re completely wasted.

3. Be aware of your location

While attending a singles event can be enjoyable, be sure to change up the scenery and meet as many new people as possible. It may be tempting to stay in one scene but remember to keep moving and introduce yourself.

4. Pay attention to body language

A huge percentage is communication is nonverbal. If you’re planning on making a great impression, expand your nonverbal vocabulary by following good manners. Uncross your arms to prevent the appearance of looking bored or annoyed. Smile. Keep off of the phone. No one will want to “disturb” someone who rather stare at their phone.

A singles event is often based on a theme or topic where a dress code is suggested. Take this time to enjoy and participate. People will admire your creative side and even want to talk to you. Don’t be afraid to enjoy the event and make an effort.

Easy Ways to Follow Up After the First Date

Perhaps you’ve made it through your first date and enjoyed the time you two shared. While the first date a cowboy was a success, how you make plans for the second date? One of the biggest challenges in dating is to build up a potential relationship by doing the wrong thing or waiting too long to follow up.
Here are three ways to keep up after the first date.

1. Have Her Text You After the Date

This is the ultimately game changer in dating. For many of us, we often get caught up in who should text first, when, and what to even say. Many times we think that if they text too soon, they might be desperate or clingy. However, if they don’t text, they may not seem interested.

To help prevent this situation, ask her to send you a text to make sure she gets home safely. Not only will this decent favor break the ice, but it will also provide a great excuse to respond right away. Just make sure to return as well.

2. Follow Up Within 24 Hours

In a world of endless choices, online dating is including in most people’s dating lifestyles. You have to assume that other candidates are trying to win their affection. Waiting too long to follow up will give her the thoughts of considering other potentials who are also trying to get her attention.

Follow up within the next 24 hours. Otherwise, it will indicate that you aren’t serious and she will find other possible partners to spend her precious time on.

3. Give Her a Call

Experts say that most people tend to stop calling each other due to the convenience of text messaging. In reality, there is no real excuse to not calling as this can be a subtle way to stand out from the rest.

Instead of laughing through text, go ahead and enjoy the chat over the phone. If she doesn’t answer, leave a voicemail and let her know how much of a very good time you had. If she’s interested, you can use that platform to communicate with her.

Have you followed these methods? Tell us what works well for you!
