Dumfries and Galloway Council in partnership with Scottishathletics limited and local clubs are providing quality athletics coaching and development opportunities throughout the region.

The aim is to encourage more people of all ages and ability ranges to actively participate in athletics.

Athletic sessions are delivered by qualified coaches via council run sessions and the three local athletic clubs – Nithsdale A.C, Stewartry A.C and Annan and District A.C providing a fun, safe and rewarding experience for everyone participating.

During the Winter months, indoor opportunities are available through Sports Hall Athletics and outdoor facilities are available at Stranraer Academy, Lorimer Park, Sanquhar, David Keswick Athletics Centre, Dumfries and Annan.
