Situated on the waterfront of Loch Ryan in the centre of Stranraer. The park has a wide range of leisure facilities for all ages including a large boating lake with a range of boats; a specially designed themed crazy golf course; an 18 hole putting green; a miniature railway which takes visitors on a tour of the park; a sand filled play park with various play structures; a bridge leading to an island with a wide range of innovative play equipment; a mini race car track; a café pavilion offering a range of refreshments. The facility offers a rolling programme of events throughout the year.The facility is open to the public year round and is staffed for chargeable activities such as boat hire during the Easter and Summer school holidays.

The Castle of St John is a medieval tower house in the centre of Stranraer. It was built around 1500 by the Adairs of Kilhilt, one of the most powerful families in Wigtownshire. Over the centuries the Castle has been used as a home, a local court, a military garrison and a prison.
Videos and reconstructions are used to tell the story of:
· The medieval landowners who built and lived in the Castle.
· The Government troops who used the Castle as their headquarters during the "Killing Times" in the 1680’s.
· The criminals and debtors imprisoned in the Castle during the 19th century.
There is an activity room for families and children. The Castle is in the centre of Stranraer and within walking distance of the ferry terminal.
Open Easter to mid-September
Monday to Saturday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm
Admission is free.
