The Policy and Performance Unit provides support to the multi-agency Dumfries and Galloway Safe and Healthy Communities Forum, led by the Director of Public Health, NHS Dumfries and Galloway. This is one of three Thematic Forums established through the local Community Planning process, with the other two Forums being Inclusive Communities and Enterprising and Learning Communities.
The remit of the Forum is to:
- champion the delivery of the thematic vision
- develop the thematic plan and monitor the annual action plan
- identify and implement creative solutions for improving policy development and service delivery
- co-ordinate partnerships, projects and initiatives which are integral to the Plan for Safe and Healthy Communities in Dumfries and Galloway
